Fall is here!!! The air is crisp, the leaves are changing colors and there is excitement all around. I am learning every season is a celebration here. We are always doing something and the people are so enthusiastic about their town. This is truly a “Hallmark” place to live as it is all about people caring for others and celebrating each day as it comes. I am truly blessed to live in a place that has such diversified events such as the Birds Migrating, Artist are displaying their wares and Music is always in the parks and the wineries.
“Eyes will be looking to the skies” again the September. There will be thousands of raptors that will be migrating and heading south. It starts Sept.16th and goes through Sept. 23rd. at 12 o’clock each day and ends at 3:00pm. They say it is truly a sight to see.
Mark Thompson will be here at the ACHS Mini-theatre. You probably have seen him on the Mark Thompson show. He and his “dummy” will put on a fun show.
Art in the Mountains is Sept. 23rd from 9:00am till 3:00pm. It is held at the Ashe Art Center in West Jefferson.
Creatures of the Night will be September 23rd on Grandfather Mountain starting with a bonfire. They will tell stories around the campfire and hold after dark tours. For those that love the creatures, this should be a great time.
