She is like a mountain laurel, a breath of fresh air, a bird on a wing, or a flower so rare, like a dew on the grass, at morning’s first light, aurora borealis on an early fall night; like a dolphin, on a calm summer sea; the eighth wonder of the world is what she is to me. Her natural beauty thrills this loving man, and I want her with me all that I can. She is a whippoorwill calling, in evening time, like a star falling, in the moonshine, she is the sunshine on the new fallen snow, she is a natural beauty, because I say so.

The Lodge at River Run is the perfect destination for your North Carolina getaway. Our bed and breakfast is home to five unique rooms; whether you’re here with friends or for a romantic weekend, we’ve got a room for you!

The Mountain Laurel Room is the largest of the riverside rooms, and perhaps the most private room at the inn. This room can sleep up to four people with a king-size bed made out of logs and a futon sofa bed. We suggest two adults and two children or a third adult.

With its own private outside entrance and sitting area, this guest room is an ideal getaway. On the deck is a café table with two chairs where you can enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee while admiring the beauty of nature right outside your door.

This room offers a large flat-screen TV, ceiling fan, small refrigerator, and coffee maker. The simple but elegant bathroom has a shower, plush towels, bath robes, heated tiles, and a hair dryer.

Near the outside seating area are rocking chairs and a hanging bed for added relaxation. We can even set up a ping pong table if anyone is interested in a little friendly competition!
