I am so excited! We have a new restaurant in town. Little Deer Cafe has opened for breakfast and lunch Wednesday through Sunday. They will open at 8:00am and close at 3:00pm. Needless to say, I had to go and see what it was all about. And to my surprise, the su chef that use to be at Eat Crow Restaurant was the new owner. After many years cooking with one of my favorite chefs, he decided to open his own establishment.
Little Deer Cafe is located near bottom of Grand father Mountain and near the town of Linville. They feature salads and sandwiches and of course pastries. He let me have a slice of one of his cakes and it was delicious. I will have to say, I could have tasted any one of his desserts and been a very happy lady. I understand many locals and visitors go by in the afternoon for coffee and something sweet.
We wish him the very best and hope that his new venture will be a success. From what I have tasted I can tell you he will be busy.
