River Watch Room

Located in the Western North Carolina High Country, The Lodge at River Run is a welcoming inn with five choices of cozy accommodations to make your stay a memorable one.

The top floor of our bed and breakfast is home to the delightful River Watch Room. With a wood-paneled cathedral ceiling and three large windows, the room will give you a feeling of peace and tranquility. A tall king-size bed facing the Elk River is outfitted with luxurious sheets, pillows, down comforter, and a superior mattress create a restful night’s sleep. Open the windows to let the sound of the river and the cool mountain breezes flood your senses.

Inside the double-dormer windows is a twin-size daybed that overlooks the river and can accommodate a third guest. It’s an absolutely wonderful place to read, relax, and daydream while enjoying the view of the river. Here you’ll feel a sense of peace and contentment only found in the mountains of North Carolina.

Fresh flowers will adorn your bedside table. Other amenities such as Direct TV, free Wi-Fi, XM radio, noisemaker, ceiling fan, coffee bar with ice, and refrigerator are supplied for your enjoyment. Blackout shades allow you to sleep late without being disturbed by the light.

A large private bathroom connects to this room with a glassed-in tub/shower. Modern conveniences such as plush towels, hair dryer, heated floor tiles, and bath robes are provided to make your stay extra comfortable.

This room is very private from the rest of the house. Adjacent to the River Watch Room is our library/reading room and computer station. With the best view of the river, this guest room is one of our most popular rooms.
