There are so many events going on in Banner Elk and the surrounding areas. I’ve decided there is always something happening in the mountains.
Just to give you a few “happenings around town.” The Forum Series at Lees-Mcrae kicks off its series with The Three Redneck Tenors on June 19th and also the Summer Theatre starts with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat on June 25th.
The Rhododendron Festival on Roan Mountain is June 16-17. This is a beautiful site to see!
Family fun month us at Beech Mountain with guided hikes, mountain biking lessons, concerts on the lawn and movies under the stars.
Banner Elk starts their Concerts in the Park on Thursday evenings. Music begins at 6:30 at Tate Evans Park. Make sure you have your lawn chairs to sit in the park and enjoy the bands that are playing.
Jones House Summer Concerts are in Boone. They are at 5:00pm on Fridays. Concerts are free, just bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music.
Art in the Park is in Blowing Rock on June 10th from 10am-5pm. They have local and regional artists that will be there. There are over 91 artists this year.
