While it has been wonderful to have the snow, it is also great to have a few days of warmer weather. I have learned to love both. As I look out my window I can see the water moving downstream and the sun is shining on the rocks. It is quite a beautiful site! When I go outside I hear the sounds of the river which makes one reflect on how the simple things we have in nature give us such joy.
Banner Elk is quite busy this time of the year with all of the snow on the slopes. The skiers and those that love to go snow boarding are having a great season. We seem to get snow every few days so the slopes have a great base. There are so many things to do at Beech and Sugar that you can take a break and go to the top for the open bar or visit one of the breweries. Bands are always in town and on the mountains.
Just to let you know, I am trying to get together special weekends at the Lodge. I am going to do a cooking school. I am in process of making the menus. I will keep you informed. We are also going to partner with BJ’s, a local boutique and Stonewalls Restaurant and have a fashion show. Look for my upcoming events
